Bernard and Actinia is an educational children’s album project based on the theme of animal symbiosis explained through the love story between a romantic hermit crab and a courageous sea anemone.
The story takes place in the beautiful waters of the tropical ocean where our heroes live surrounded
by various colorful maritime species.
I was in charge of the creation and conception of all the illustrations and tiny animations, from the storyboard to the final render.

Bernard et Actinia est un projet d'album jeunesse basé sur l'histoire d'amour entre un bernard-l'ermite romantique et une courageuse anémone de mer. L'histoire se déroule dans les eaux luxuriantes de l'océan tropical où vivent nos héros entourés de diverses espèces maritimes colorées.
J'étais en charge de la création et de la conception de toutes les illustrations et petites animations,

The book was originally accompanied by a poster and an augmented reality application which were all linked together through mini games containing scientific content and informations on the tropical waters and more broadly, the food chain and the place of all creatures, including man, in our ecosystem.
Therefore, my job was not only to tell the story of our two heroes which had to remain at the center of the illustrations but also to include in a playful way as many animal and plant species as possible to provide a wider spectrum of knowledge and more interactivity between the different media.

Le livre était à l'origine accompagné d'une affiche et d'une application en réalité augmentée, le tout relié entre eux par des mini-jeux contenant des informations scientifique sur les eaux tropicales et plus largement la chaîne alimentaire et e rôle de chaque créature, y compris l'Homme, dans notre écosystème.
Mon travail ne consistait donc pas seulement à raconter l'histoire de nos deux héros qui devait rester au centre des illustrations mais aussi à inclure de manière ludique un maximum d'espèces animales et végétales pour apporter un plus large spectre de connaissances et plus d'interactivité entre les différents médias.
